HELPING HAND HOME FOR CHILDREN

The mission of the Helping Hand Home is to provide a nurturing and therapeutic home for children healing from physical, emotional and sexual abuse, neglect or abandonment. As the oldest continuously operating residential childcare agency in Travis County, Helping Hand Home is kept strong through community support. The Hewlett’s have been sponsoring the Home’s annual Champions for Children luncheon for over a decade and are passionate about ensuring that children whose young lives were once filled with pain and fear can reclaim their childhood and trust again.

POPPY FEST

Each April as the poppies begin to bloom, the City of Georgetown hosts the momentous Red Poppy Festival. The Hewlett dealerships have been sponsoring the Poppy Festival for over two decades and love the opportunity to engage with the community. The three-day festival is full of fun activities for all ages including a parade, car show, vendor booths, live music and more. People travel from miles around to experience all Georgetown has to offer. Team Hewlett looks forward to being a part of the Red Poppy festival for decades to come.

SOCCER FOR THE YOUTH IN OUR COMMUNITY

Georgetown Soccer Association (GSA), established in 1981, provides organized recreational and competitive soccer for nearly 1,000 youth in Georgetown and the surrounding communities. The program serves players aged 4 through 18. The recreational soccer program emphasizes three things, fun, development, and sportsmanship. The competitive program, Force FC, provides the environment for a higher level of commitment to soccer teaching players to achieve their highest potential both on and off the soccer field. Don Hewlett Chevrolet Buick is proud to be a sponsor of the program, its coaches, and athletes.

DESTINATION HOPE

Don Hewlett Chevrolet Buick has been the presenting sponsor of Destination Hope since it’s inception in 2022. The event raises funds and awareness for two non-profits, the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Williamson County. Both of these organizations strive to support children and families in our community by providing education and advocacy in an effort to minimize the trauma that has been inflicted on them. The event proceeds aid in helping the most vulnerable kiddos in our area.

The Central Texas Field of Honor® Honoring Those Who Have Served

Each year, the Rotary Club of Georgetown, hosts the Central Texas Field of Honor. This event takes place during the week of Veterans Day in November and pays tribute to our valued veterans, active and reserve duty military and first responders. The week’s events include a truly stunning and emotion-filled display of 1,500 full-sized U.S. flags, posted at San Gabriel Park’s activity field; each flag having been purchased by individuals in honor or memory of a veteran, military member or first responder. It is a week to honor and express thanks to all who selflessly serve.

The CCA is a non-profit marine conservation organization comprised of thousands of recreational saltwater anglers. The objective of CCA is to conserve, promote and enhance the present and future availability of our coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public.
